Every week, we offer guided hikes with a genuine “Psairer mountain guide” who will show you the most beautiful spots in our valley. A special weekly highlight is our guest hike, where Petra personally accompanies you through our home mountains.   • Alpine pasture walks, e.g. to the Egger Grub Alm, the Hochalm, the Ulfaseralm, the Timmelsalm or the Lazinseralm.
  • Panoramic high-altitude trails such as the Passeier High Trail, the Merano High Trail or the E5 long-distance hiking trail.
  • Challenging mountain hikes to the Hohe Kreuzspitze, the Stuller Hochwart, the Kolbenspitze, the Hoffmannspitze or the Hohe Wilde, the highest mountain in the Passeier Valley.
The Passeier Valley also offers some great walks for families! These include the walk along the Waalweg in Ulfas, the Schluchtenweg, and the numerous alpine pasture walks.
Yes, you can also set off on a wide variety of hikes without needing a car at all. Whether you set off on foot directly from Pension Widmann to the Hohe Kreuzspitze, the Hohewart, the Kleine Kreuzspitze, the Übelsee or the Glaitner Hochjoch.
Would you like to discover another side of the Passeier Valley? Then why not make the most of the excellent bus services? You can reach the Timmelsjoch, Ulfas, Pfelders, Platt or the Jaufen Pass – and, of course, the Hirzer hiking area – in complete comfort.
We’re offering you the Passeiertal Premium Guest Pass free of charge. You can take part in selected summit hikes, accompanied by mountain guides from the Passeiertal. Save yourself a few metres of elevation gain with the Grünbodenexpress and set off on your hike. Use public transport to reach the starting point of your hike quickly and easily.

Are you passionate about life on two wheels? Then it’s time to set off! South Tyrol is a true paradise for your cycling holiday. Right around the Pension Widmann, you’ll find a wide variety of scenic cycling routes – perfect for road cyclists, mountain bikersand e-bike enthusiasts.

Take on legendary mountain passes like the Jaufenpass or the Timmelsjochon your road bike. You prefer to cicle off the beaten tracks? Then pedal up to our alpine huts by mountain bike – whether with or without electric support is entirely up to you.
For a more relaxed family ride, the cycle paths from St. Leonhard to Merano, Bolzano or the Vinschgau are simply ideal. We’re always happy to share our personal tips for the most beautiful cycling tours in South Tyrol.

Yes, you can store your bike in our ski room or, if needed, in an additional deposit. Your bike can stay there while you enjoy your holidays.
We don’t want your cycling tour to end too early - of course you can charge your bike! While you wait, we are happy to pamper you with homemade delicacies - cakes or dishes from our kitchen, which, by the way, is open all day!

Vertical Adventures in the Passeiertal – Climbing fun for all levels

From climbing crags and via ferratas to alpine multi-pitch routes – your climbing holiday in South Tyrol
Have you heard of the “Stuller Wasserfallvia ferrata? Starting in Moos, it runs alongside the waterfall all the way to Stuls, offering routes for both beginners and experienced climbers.

Just 10 minutes from our family-run guesthouse, you’ll find the climbing gardenof Stuls, set in a sunny location and usable nearly all year round. Other climing-highlights include the climbing areas in Zoll and Bergkristall. In Bergkristall you will find also rock for bouldering. Not to forget the alpine multi-pitch routes in our valley for experienced climbers.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, you can always head to the indoor climbing hall in St. Leonhard and stay active. This way, your climbing holiday in South Tyrol will be varied, exciting, and truly unforgettable.

Once a week, there is a guided tour at the via ferrata “Stuller Wasserfall”. You can participate for free with the Guest Pass Passeiertal Premium provided by us.

Yes, you can rent your climbing equipment in the Passeiertal. At Mountain Shop Sportland, you can get professional consultation on climbing and rent the right equipment.

The equipment you need depends on the route you choose. For sport climbing areas, you will need standard climbing equipment, including ropes of a suitable length. For indoor climbing at the Sportarena, a climbing harness, climbing shoes, a belay device and chalk are sufficient. For the multi-pitch routes in the Passeiertal, you will need additional equipment. Make sure to thoroughly research the route, rock conditions and required equipment beforehand, as these routes are demanding and recommended for experienced climbers only.
A climbing guide has been compiled for the Passeiertal, providing detailed descriptions of the individual climbing areas and their respective difficulty levels. It also includes information about the via ferratas and the Sportarena indoor climbing facility.
Thanks to our peaceful location and ideal setting, we are the perfect base for your climbing holiday. Just a 10-minute walk from us, you will find a challenging sport climbing area. The Stuller Wasserfall via ferrata, with its three different routes, also leads directly from Moos up to us. Several demanding multi-pitch routes lead up to the Hohe Kreuzspitze, which you can easily reach from here by e-bike or on foot from the Hochegg car park. The other climbing areas in Pfelders and Moos are also easy to reach by bus or car. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have and help you plan your climbing adventures.
